Ingredients

  • 10 Bread Slice
  • 4 medium Boiled Potatoes
  • ½ tsp Roasted Cumin Seeds Powder
  • 1 tsp Green Chili (finely chopped)
  • 1 tsp Coriander Powder
  • ½ tsp Red Chili Powder
  • ½ tsp Garam Masala
  • ½ tsp Amchur Powder / Dry Mango Powder amchur - 1 tsp
  • ¾ tsp Salt (adjust as per taste)
  • 2 tbsp Fresh Coriander (finely chopped)
  • 4 tbsp Butter / Ghee

Instructions

Potato Masala Sandwich Recipe:

  • Firstly, pressure cook potatoes for 3-4 whistles. Wait till it cools.
  • Once cool, peel off the skin, and mashed them well with a potato masher or with a back of a ladle.
  • After that, take a bowl and add mashed potatoes with all the spices: Roasted Cumin Seeds Powder, Coriander Powder, Red Chili Powder, Amchur Powder/Dry Mango Powder, Salt, and Garam Masala.
  • Further, add finely chopped green chili and fresh coriander leaves (cilantro).
  • After that, mix all the ingredients very well.
  • Additionally, take a slice of bread and spread the aloo masala on the bread.
  • Further, cover it with other plain bread.
  • After that, heat a pan/tawa and grease some butter/ghee on tawa.
  • Now, place the sandwich on the heated tava.
  • Grease the butter/ghee on the other side now.
  • Further, press down gently with a spatula and grill the aloo sandwich until both sides are crispy and golden brown.
  • Finally, cut the sandwiches and serve aloo masala sandwiches hot with green chutney or tomato ketchup.
