Ingredients

  • 2 cups Dosa Idli Batter
  • ½ tsp Salt (adjust as per taste)
  • ½ cup Oil
  • 1 cup Water (adjust as per required)

Instructions

  • Firstly, take a bowl and add Homemade Idli Batter Recipe, 1 tbsp oil, and salt in it. Mix all the ingredients well.
  • Make sure that the mixture should not either too thick or too thin.
  • After that, take the button idli stand and grease the moulds well using oil.
  • Further, heat water in an electric cooker or pressure cooker.
  • Additionally, pour the rice idli batter into idli molds carefully.
  • Now place this idli stand into an electric cooker or pressure cooker and cover the pressure cooker with the lid without the whistle.
  • Further, steam for 10-12 minutes on medium heat.
  • Open the lid and check whether the idli is cooked properly from the inside.
  • Now perform a toothpick/knife test. Insert a toothpick/knife in the center of the idli. If it comes out clean, your idlis are ready.
  • After that, remove the idli stand from the electric cooker or pressure cooker and let it cool down.
  • Take out each idli from the idli stand with the help of a spoon/knife and put them on a plate.
  • Finally, soft, light, airy, and spongy Button Idlis, or cocktail idlis are ready.
  • Serve this button idlis, or mini idlis with Authentic Sambar, 3 types of Coconut Chutney.
