Firstly, After 20 minutes, if the batter looks thick, then add a few tablespoons of water to get a medium consistency.
Make sure that the mixture should not either too thick or too thin.
Further, take the idli stand and grease the molds well using oil.
Heat water in an electric cooker or pressure cooker.
It's time to add baking soda/ENO to the batter and mix well.
Let the water warm up. Meanwhile, now put around tomato slice in each of the molds.
Additionally, pour the rava idli batter into idli molds on top of tomato slices carefully.
Now place this idli stand into an electric cooker or pressure cooker and cover the pressure cooker with the lid without the whistle.
Steam for 10-12 minutes on medium heat.
Open the lid and check whether the idli is cooked properly from the inside.
After that, perform a toothpick/knife test. insert a toothpick/knife in the center of the idli. if it comes out clean, your idlis are ready.
Further, remove the idli stand from the electric cooker or pressure cooker and let it cool down.
Take out each idli from the idli stand with the help of a spoon/knife and put them on a plate.
Finally, Vegetable Sooji Idlis are ready. Serve Vegetable Rava idlis with authentic Sambar and 3 types of Coconut chutney.
