Aam Papad Recipe | Mango Papad Recipe | How to make Aam Papad at home

aam papad or mango papad is one of those snacks that will surely bring your childhood memories back. this sun-dried sweet and tangy snack is an all time favourite of kids and adults alike and can be enjoyed in any season.

Ingredients

  • 2 Mango (500 grams)
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • tsp Cardamom Powder
  • 2 tsp Ghee/Oil
  • 2 tbsp Dry Fruits (chopped)

Instructions

  • Firstly, wash, peel and cut the mangoes into pieces.
  • Further, make a fine paste by grinding the mango pieces. Please don’t add water.
  • Make sure mango paste is smooth.
  • Pour the paste into a cooking nonstick pan, add sugar and mix it properly.
  • Now turn on the flame and put the pan on it.
  • Cook the mixture for 18-20 minutes on low-medium flame, keep stirring in between.
  • After 20 minutes, add cardamom powder, chopped dry fruits and mix it, now turn off the flame.
  • After that, grease a plate with ghee.
  • Gently pour the mixture into the greased plate, and spread it evenly.
  • You can cover the mango papad with a thin cloth or net.
  • Additionally, keep it under the sunlight for 2-3 days to dry.
  • If you could not get enough sunlight then you can also keep the plate in your room or the kitchen. This mango papad can also dry in the wind.
  • Once it is dried properly, take a knife and gently remove the dried papad from the plate.
  • Cut it into pieces as per your desired shape and take it out into a plate.
  • Finally, aam papad or mango papad is ready to eat.
  • Store it in an airtight container and consume it within 3 weeks.
