Ingredients

  • 2 cups Long Grained Rice (Basmati)
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 tsp Oil
  • 10 cups Water

Instructions

  • Firstly, rinse the rice under running water, rubbing the grains together between the palms of your hands, and continue this rinsing until the water runs fairly clear.
  • After that, soaked the rice for 30 minutes and drain.
  • Further, boil the water in a deep pan.
  • After the water comes to a boil then add the soaked and drained rice.
  • Additionally, add salt, and oil and mix well.
  • Cook on a medium flame for 8 -10 minutes or till the rice is 90% cooked.
  • Drain the steamed rice and transfer the boiled rice to a plate.
  • Finally, perfect steamed rice is ready to be served.
  • You can serve this hot boiled rice with any Indian curry, sabzi, or curd.
