Stir-fried Cabbage Recipe - Quick, Easy, and Delicious Chinese-style Cabbage Stir Fry. This is a Side Dish served with Indian meals and takes just 15 minutes to prepare. This humble "Patta Gobhi ki Sabji" or sauteed cabbage is vegan, gluten-free, and healthy.

Ingredients

  • 500 grams Cabbage
  • 2 piece Onion (chopped)
  • 2 piece Bell Peppers or Capsicum (julienne cut)
  • 1 inch Ginger (grated)
  • 8 cloves Garlic (finely chopped)
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil or Any Oil
  • ½ tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • ¼ tsp Black Pepper Powder
  • 1 tsp Salt (or as per taste)
  • 1 tsp Soy Sauce
  • 1 tsp White Vinegar

Instructions

  • Firstly hand-shred the cabbage into bite-sized pieces as per the pic, wash, and thoroughly dry.
  • Cut the onions, bell peppers into julienne style, finely chop the garlic and grate the ginger.
  • Further, heat oil in a wok/kadai on a high flame.
  • Once the oil becomes hot, add chopped garlic cloves and Saute till the garlic is light brown.
  • Further, add chopped onions and saute for about 2-3 minutes on low-medium heat until the onions are translucent. Keep stirring often.
  • Now add chopped cabbage and bell peppers into the kadai.
  • Add red chili powder, Black pepper powder, salt and mix well.
  • Cover the Kadai or pan with a lid and cook them for about 2-3 minutes on low-medium heat. Keep stirring in between.
  • Give all the ingredients a stir.
  • Now add soy sauce, Vinegar and mix well.
  • Cook them for about 1-2 minutes on high flame until water is evaporated.
  • Make sure that the stir fried veggies are not overcooked.
  • Transfer the Stir Fried Cabbage into a bowl.
  • Serve this hot and delicious Cabbage Stir Fry as a side dish with an Indian meal or goes well in wraps, spring rolls, sandwiches, Masala Dosa, or even with roti, paratha, or plain rice.
