Ingredients

  • 500 grams Matar ke Chilke
  • 4-5 medium-sized Potatoes (chopped)
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 1 pinch Asafoetida/Hing
  • ½ tsp Cumin Seeds/Jeera
  • 2 tsp Coriander Powder
  • ½ tsp Turmeric Powder
  • ½ tsp Red Chili Powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp Garam Masala
  • ½ tsp Amchur Powder

Instructions

  • Firstly, take the pea peels one by one and remove the sides and inner membrane of the pea skin.
  • Chop them into bite-sized pieces, ensuring they're clean and ready for cooking.
  • Also, Cut the potatoes into bite-sized pieces and wash them.
  • Heat oil in a wok/kadai over medium heat.
  • Add Asafoetida/hing and cumin seeds and let them splutter.
  • Now, add coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder and saute for a few seconds.
  • Add chopped potatoes, matar ke chilke, salt, and mix everything thoroughly.
  • Reduce the heat, cover the pan, and let the aloo matar chilka sabji simmer for about 8-10 minutes until they are fully cooked. Stir in between.
  • After that open the lid and add amchur powder and garam masala and mix well.
  • Once the Alu aur Matar Ke Chilke Ki Sabji are tender and the sabzi has a beautiful aroma, turn off the heat.
  • Finally, serve this Aloo and Matar Ke Chilke Ki Sabzi hot with chapati or Paratha or Rice for a wholesome meal and Enjoy.
